We are proud to be once again supporting Oxford Brookes Racing with Formula Student, Inspiring and developing the next generation of Engineers & Designers. This year’s car will be the team’s first fully electric car. It should be the fastest car they have built to date and we look forward to seeing it run.
We have supported OBR for 20 years now and it is a project we always love to work on, we are still in touch today with many of the people that have participated and are now working in top level Motorsport.
2020 was a virtual year for OBR, like for many of us they embraced the challenge and got the work done to succeed.
This years car is fully electric and powered by 600 volt battery which has been designed in house by OBR, the in-hub AMK motors will give the car 80kw of power to get up to speeds of 100kph in 3 seconds. the car will have a full carbon fibre moulded monocoque which has been designed with the driver and aero in mind.
